Danijel Mlinarić is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb, and president of the Centre for Economic Diplomacy. In 2008, he graduated with a thesis in "Approximate Calculation of the Inverse Matrix of Technology" as one of the top 10% of students in his generation. In 2012, he completed the SPDS "Financial Institutions and Markets". He earned his PhD in 2015 from the University of Zagreb in the field of banking. In 2020, he graduated from the Diplomatic Academy at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia.
He represents the Republic of Croatia in the Balkan Economic Forum. Since 2016, he has been a permanent court expert in finance, accounting, banking, property valuation, and company valuation. He has undertaken training in Austria, Spain, France, Greece, Poland, Malaysia, India, Portugal, and China. He is a leader and collaborator on several scientific and professional projects. He founded and lectures on the course Economic Diplomacy at the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb. He has taught in Mexico, Kazakhstan, Argentina, North Macedonia, Colombia, and Chile, as well as in various domestic public and private institutions. He is a member of the programme and editorial boards of several international scientific conferences. He is the author of more than 30 scientific papers and a reviewer for many domestic and foreign scientific and professional journals. Together with his associates, he has won the "Mijo Mirković" award at the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb and has received numerous international scholarships. In his free time, he is a passionate skier and enjoys tennis and mountaineering.
